So we went to the parade in the last minute, I was totally unprepared but - hey I went along and snapped pix all night it was fun. With a few hick-ups here and there lol - the weather was pretty good and there was a pretty good turn out by 430 it was jammed down princess street! Everyone was lined up and the parking lots were jammed ! A & W was lined up out the door for food - it went for about 2 hrs - I got the slide show up here so check it out ( Nikon d300, range 2000-2500 ISO) testing since I did not prepare for the event lol & 18-200mm lens)

Nikon D300 Review

Alright I have been working with the d300 for a few days now and I am pretty happy with the intuitive nature of the camera. First example of this was the non auto flash on when you are trying to do something in manual. The View finder is very bright and seems bigger than the d80, the body is heavier and more ruggedly built. It\'s a get up and go & do it type of body, its built with magnesium though it. Its also got some very nice weather proof covers for the outputs.

\ ");document.write("Images are cleaner and clearer in low light, The Nikon D300 is a great camera over all, and is very good for sports and wild life, not to mention any kind of moving objects. the 6 fps continuous drive is very nice, it also has a low and high mode for the continuous drive. I have tested the speed on both and found it felt like more than 6 fps, It does have an option to Boost the fps to 8 fps with the battery grip pack. Which is a very nice option for those who are looking to do long photo days ..

\ ");document.write("I have found with the 18-200mm VR the Nikon D300 has improved the clarity and sharpness over all than with the Nikon D80. Even though I really enjoyed the use o the Nikon d80 and have shot many excellent things with it. I am finding many great features with easier access to working in manual modes. Where the D80 had the dial modes on the left the D300 has it in the soft button software access on the right, I think I actually prefer the soft access. more coming...

Nikon D300 Review

So I have moved up in the world and got the Nikon D300 , from my old D80 which is a excellent camera in its self I have never had any problems at all with the D80 and it shoots great pix! I am going to be out most of the day tomorrow taking shots and I will have some new cool stuff up here to share as soon as I do. :)

when you are trying to get a shot and you have the distance just right but for some reason the abgle does not seem right ? well hold you shutter button half way down - keep the same distance move to get the angle right while keeping you finger on the button, then when everything is just right . So I was out looking for interesting spots for shots today and found this place at a great angle. This area is a historic site with donations from many members of the community. This Town has been in existence for 175 years now and was place of Sir John A Mac Donald Canada\'s first prime minister last live conference. And the main drag here being center street highway 2 was canada\'s main strip though the country before the 401 highway way built! now that\'s history !!
